Longer Showers. Smaller Bills.

ShowerLoop is a new recirculating shower system designed for people who do their best thinking in the shower.  It's a water-saving circular shower that uses 70 to 80 percent less water than a conventional shower, without compromising comfort.

The Shower Think Tank

Why Steven Bartlett Thinks Long Showers are a Form of Meditation.

Many people say their best ideas arrive in the shower.

It’s one of the few places left in the day where the outside world briefly disappears. No notifications, no meetings, no pressure to respond. Just warm water and a few uninterrupted minutes where the mind can wander.

Why Songwriter Bastian Baker Gets His Best Ideas in the Shower

Many people say their best ideas arrive in the shower.

It’s a surprisingly common experience. Somewhere between the warm water, the quiet and the routine of the moment, the mind seems to loosen its grip on everyday pressures and begin wandering in new directions.

Why We Get Our Best Ideas in the Shower

You step into the shower, and somewhere between adjusting the temperature and rinsing off the day, an idea appears.

It might be a solution to a problem that felt impossible an hour earlier. A line of writing. A melody. A business idea. A sudden moment of clarity.

Our Mission

New thinking in the shower to help secure our water future.

savings-targets

Because ShowerLoop is still in development, it’s difficult to know exactly how much water it will save until people begin using it in real homes. However, based on our current testing, we’re targeting potential savings of up to 50 kilolitres of water per year for a long-shower lover who uses ShowerLoop daily in place of their regular shower. Depending on local water prices, that could equate to around $200 per year in water bill savings.

For larger households or share houses where several people enjoy longer showers, the impact could scale significantly. In a five-person household, potential savings could reach up to 250 kilolitres of water annually, or roughly $1,000 per year.

These figures are early estimates only, and real-world results will vary depending on usage patterns and water pricing. As we continue testing and move toward pilot programs, we’re excited to better understand ShowerLoop’s true potential to make a meaningful difference — both for our water future and for household budgets.

Learning from History

A circular shower isn’t a new idea. Over the years, many inventors and companies have explored different ways to rethink how we use water in the shower.

We’ve spent time learning from what’s come before as we develop ShowerLoop and explore our own approach.

If you’re curious about how this category has evolved, our History page highlights some of the key inventors, companies and milestones that have shaped water-efficient shower technology.
